Spring - a creative time for growth and new beginnings
Spring is approaching and is the season associated with the Wood element, with the climate wind, the color green, the emotion anger, and the corresponding organs are the Liver and Gallbladder.
Spring, with the element of wood, stands for growth, renewal and expansion!
It’s a time for new beginnings, growth, renewal and expansion! The wood energy of the season wants to rise up, push through, and get things done. New projects and ideas might be planted or rising within. So if you are feeling creative it's a great time to act since the energy is active, energetic, and supports vision, creativity, and leadership. Great time to release any blockages so get to all that juicy and great energy.
The liver is the organ associated with the season of Spring
The Liver is also associated with anger when it’s out of balance, and expansion when in balance. When we’re not aligned, allowing us to feel the growth and expansion, we feel stuck. Lack of direction. Makes the Liver energy feel stuck, leading our body into feelings of stress, frustration, anger, irritability, and perhaps physical symptoms like tight neck and shoulders, migraines, digestive problems. Reflect on what triggers the emotions. Does it feel like a valid response?
Movement with attention to the sides of your body like the IT band, the ribs, your jaw, your hips, your shoulders… Breathwork, yoga or meditation where the diaphragm is involved. Go for a walk, inhale, exhale and make a cartwheel half way through 🙂
